Keeping it Simple and Chaotic is a small blog started in late 2015. It will hopefully grow into a community of people focused on living full lives with less stuff, raising kids who are self-sufficient and independent, and using the space they have with as much purpose as possible. If you like getting your hands dirty and doing it yourself or turning trash into treasures, this maybe the blog for you.
To that end, this blog will sometimes feature DIY projects to replace things we might have bought and ‘upcycling’ projects for things we might have thrown away. This blog will also feature my attempts at organizing the chaos and things we’ve tried in our journey to self-sufficient children. I’m still figuring out this whole blogging experiment but I welcome you along for the ride.
I’ve always loved to write and have thrown the idea of starting a blog around for a while. In late 2015, I finally decided to jump in and give it a go. I hoped that I could bring a different point of view on some of the topics I spend so much time researching. I won’t say that it’s been everything I hoped it could be, but I’m definitely giving it my best shot.
I’m a mom in my late 30’s trying to hold down a full-time job and raise four kids; T (6.5 yrs old), J (5 yrs old), G (3.5 yrs old), and P (2 yrs old); with my husband, Mr. J, and my mom, Lala. We live in Central Ohio in a 100 yr old farm house on a small-medium(3.5 acres) piece of land. We are trying raise self-sufficient children and a portion of our own food. We are working towards not buy things we don’t need and not throwing away things that still have life in them.
Now that you’ve found me take a second to like my Facebook Page, subscribe to my blog, or drop me a line.
